Description

The Guardian Risk Manager EA

Why I Built This Expert Advisor

I originally developed The Guardian Risk Manager EA strictly for my own personal use. As a dedicated scalper, I constantly operate in highly volatile environments where a single emotional mistake can wipe out weeks of hard work. I needed an absolute and unbreakable shield to protect my capital on both my personal brokerage accounts and my strict prop firm evaluations.

Standard risk managers on the market were simply not enough. They did not understand the dynamics of fast scalping sessions or the specific peak equity rules demanded by modern proprietary trading firms. I built this tool to act as a cold and mathematical security guard, ensuring that my profits are locked in and my bad days are cut short before they become disasters.

The Potential of The Guardian

This Expert Advisor does not open trades or analyze indicators. Its only purpose is to sit on your chart and monitor your entire account balance across every single currency pair. It transforms your MetaTrader 5 into a professional risk management terminal.

Whether you are managing investors funds, trading a prop firm challenge, or protecting your own hard earned money, this EA removes human emotion from the equation. When you reach your limit, it pulls the plug, cleans your charts, and locks you out to protect you from yourself.

Complete User Manual and Feature Guide

Below is a detailed explanation of every single feature inside The Guardian Risk Manager. Please read this carefully to understand how it will protect your account.

1 Time Filter Gatekeeper

Enforce Trading Hours: You can set this to True or False. When active, it acts as a bouncer for your account.

Start Hour and End Hour: You define the exact window you are allowed to trade based on your broker server time. If you set your hours from 8 to 18, the EA monitors your actions. If you impulsively try to open a new trade at 19, the Gatekeeper will instantly close that unauthorized order and send a warning to your phone. However, if you have a profitable trade that was opened at 15 and is still running, the EA will safely let it run. It only blocks new intruders.

2 Global Risk Loss Limits

Loss Limits Mode: You can choose to calculate your limits using a Cash Value like 500 dollars or a Percentage like 5 percent of your balance.

Enable Daily Global Limit: This is the core of the prop firm protection. The EA uses a professional High Water Mark system. It actively chases your profits. If you start the day with 10000 and make 400 in profit, your new peak is 10400. The EA moves your safety net up with you. If your daily limit is 500, the EA will step in if your account drops to 9900. It secures your morning profits and prevents you from giving everything back to the market in the afternoon.

Enable Session Limit: This is a smaller safety fuse for your currently open trades. If you open a bad position and it reaches this negative value, the EA will close those specific trades immediately. It allows you to take a small loss and try again later, rather than blowing your entire daily limit on a single bad setup.

3 Selective Shutdown Protocol

Unload other EAs on daily limit hit: Grid and martingale bots are dangerous because if a risk manager closes a trade, the bot will just open another one instantly. By enabling this function, The Guardian will actively delete unauthorized EAs from your charts when your daily limit is hit.

Shutdown Delay: This is a crucial feature for fund managers. When the daily limit triggers, the EA closes all trades and enters a syncing state for a few seconds. This delay gives your Trade Copier enough time to send the closing signals to your prop firm or investors before the cleanup begins.

Spared EAs Ignore List: You can type the names of programs that should never be deleted. If you type FX Blue in this field, The Guardian will close all your dangerous grid bots but will leave your Trade Copier running smoothly.

4 Alert and Visual Settings

Notification Routing: You have full control over how the EA talks to you. You can choose Terminal alerts, Mobile Push notifications, Sounds, or activate all of them simultaneously.

Enable Periodic Status Update: When enabled, the EA acts as a personal assistant. It will send a report directly to your mobile phone at the interval you choose.

Update Interval Minutes: If you set this to 2, the EA will text you every 2 minutes. It is smart enough to only send these messages if you have active trades. It will tell you exactly how many orders are open, what your floating profit is, and your true Daily Net Profit combining your closed and open positions.

5 Support and Contact

EA User Manual: You can always find the latest information and updates at codemystrategy.com.

Questions or Suggestions: If you have any technical questions or feature requests, you can reach out directly to info@codemystrategy.com.

CRITICAL WARNING FOR PROP FIRM TRADERS: Do not make deposits or withdrawals while the EA is actively running and monitoring your day. The EA calculates your daily profit strictly based on closed trades and equity changes. If you withdraw funds in the middle of a session, it will affect your equity tracking. Always perform financial transactions after the trading day is over or while the EA is removed from the chart.
